![]() I buyed the bundle (MS, MSX and MS3) to have a nice Metal Slug comeback. I remember the good ol' days with one of the best soundtracks i have ever heard – now reduced into some glitchy distortion. If I am wrong (and please, DotEmu, make me wrong) I would REALLY like to see the fix applied to not only MSX, but also MS3 (or any other Metal Slug releases they may have at the time, as well as any future releases). But this has been going on since the first day of their Metal Slug 3 Steam release and I do not expect a fix, neither soon nor ever. So, in order to fix the sound, DotEmu needs to fix the uneven frame pacing their NeoGeo emulator has. I would assume that the sound emulation core is tied to the overall emulation core, which would cause the music to speed up/down during these "stuttering periods". People with sharp eyes will notice that the game itself speeds up and slows down regularly in bursts (just a little bit), which creates the impression of slightly stuttering framerate because the 30 in-game frames are not being displayed at regular intervals. ![]() Originally posted by Rukumouru:I think the real issue is the frame timing of the emulation. I tried changing my sampling rates and nothing changed either so it's not a sample rate compatibility problem and since it's so wide spread I'd doubt it would be linked to a specific set of hardware compatibility unless it dislikes Realtek audio devices which most PC's have. Guess I didn't notice it because the first few times I played the PC version I had my sound system off and the only time I did play with sound on was with family so I wasn't really paying attention to the noises but wow, yeah, there's something up, I'd say it's either emulating the sound wrong (duh, obviously.) OR (and I'm not sure exactly how the Neo Geo handled sound.) but maybe the sound device it's emulating is emulating too slow or too fast? Or it seems like it's using the wrong tones plus a mix of the two. I also noticed the music is usually slower than it should be, not just occasionally, it's like, always slower than normal. Specially since I used to own the MS MVS cabinet. Mostly the high pitched laser-esque sounds Those among other sounds, I noticed a lot of sounds are too scratchy and also higher pitched than they should be. Originally posted by PsychedelicPet:A lot of the sounds are wrong. I'd notice it, I mean the music slows down when the game does during intense scenes but so far nothing too bad, nothing to make it unplayable or anything like that for me at least. The framerate probably jumps too high or too low and causes the music to play too fast, or so would be my guess with emulation and is it only MSX? Because I know I haven't heard it on MS3 at all, not on Steam or on my Android. However, it's not very noticeable and people who aren't looking out for it may miss it entirely. It is not an issue with his hardware, it happens to nearly everyone as far as I can tell. This does not occur on the Neogeo release of MSX. The issue he speaks of is well-documented the audio (most noticeably the music) sometimes plays a bit faster/slower than usual for short intervals. It would be better if you explained it further or posted a video of the issue to help show it off as well as what audio drivers you have and what your sound card is running at under your prefered device's Advanced Speaker Properties. The game even has the same amount of slowdown as the arcade version because it's an arcade port with software emulating Neo-Geo's arcade hardware. I highly doubt they purposely put in lower quality audio into a game that's only a few hundred megabyte cartridge. This is a direct emulation port of the arcade game with online multiplayer, achievements and better controller support as well as 16:9 aspect ratio. ![]() Originally posted by (´・ω・`)Cheeky Diglett:I honestly don't know what you mean unless your PC can't handle the game for some reason or it's playing just under a playable frame rate causing audio skipping/stuttering.

You are well known for your low-tech approach to what is ultimately a very high-tech product – you draw a lot of your designs. I think the danger there is that if the regulations become excessively restrictive, then all the cars will be the same and it will effectively be a runway chassis format. What I don’t enjoy so much is when the regulations simply become more restrictive, when things that we’re doing become banned. The big changes we had at the start of 2009 gave all sorts of new opportunities different ways to approach things, don’t simply do things the way we’ve always done and really try to think what are we trying to achieve here, what is the best solution or set of solutions to suit new regulations. I enjoy regulation changes if they give new opportunities. Do you relish it as a challenge or is it a headache? I’m sure we all have different ways of working and I’m obviously not the only person coming up with ideas. Sometimes the solution will pop up in the shower the next day, the next week. I quite often find that if I think about a problem for a while, store it, walk away and do something else … the brain is an amazing thing. Where do you get your “light bulb” moments? So it’s really about trying to get that blend of evolution and revolution. So if regulations are stable, quite often it’s evolution in the Darwinian sense of the word, but occasionally we’ll come up with a new idea which is not a derivation of what we’ve been doing, it’s coming from left field. There is no better place for outdoor enthusiasts to live - and no better place to design the boots that meet their needs. It's surrounded by bluffs, trout streams and lakes. The legend lives on in Red Wing, Minnesota - a beautiful, historic Mississippi River town in America's Heartland. However, as legend has it, the leather color was actually inspired by the bark of the mighty redwood trees. The distinctive color of this leather, similar to the color of the Irish Setter dog's lush coat, led to the brand's name. The Oro-iginal leather is supple, rich and created to be barnyard acid-resistant to give the boots a longer life. These first Irish Setters featured Oro-iginal leather. And the white sole allowed a farmer's wife to see that his boots were clean when entering the house! Eventually the sole also made this boot a favorite of construction workers walking on high steel to build America's skyscrapers –good grip with nothing to catch and cause a trip. This made it a dual purpose boot for farmers who could wear it in their barns and pastures and also while upland hunting, a favorite activity. The shallow lug sole was designed so that it would not pick up mud and debris. ![]() Red Wing Shoe Company originally developed boots with the legendary White Crepe sole for some very practical purposes and very practical people.
